What we should do?

Isn´t easy being homeless or houseless, however, we as humans may help that people that do not have enough recourses to support himself or herself or his/her family.
So exist a lot of ways to help them, like to give them clothes that we don´t use anymore, buy for them some food, and in some cases, they will be happy just with a smile at us to them.
They need us, maybe tomorrow the one that lives on the streets could be you, your son, your sister, or any important person for you.

What causes homelessness?

People become homeless for lots of different reasons. There are social causes of homelessness, such as a :
-lack of affordable housing,

-poverty and unemployment
and life events which cause individuals to become homeless. People can become homeless when

-they leave prison
-care or the army with no home to go to
Many homeless women have escaped a violent relationship. Many people become homeless because they can no longer afford the rent. And for many, life events like a relationship breaking down, losing a job, mental or physical health problems, or substance misuse can be the trigger. Being homeless can, in turn, make many of these problems even harder to resolve.

“I’m not homeless, I’m houseless”

Being blanck, a current traveler, and history of injection drug use were all significantly associated with a decreased likelihood in identifying as homeless. However, having fair/ poor health, accessing shelter services, and reporting one´s own subtance use as a reason for homelessness were all significantly associated with identifying as homeless.
